275in wheels don’t have the same rolling prowess of 29ers. On rough trails, they can feel hampered by large rocks, roots or other trail obstacles, especially at higher speeds. While they accelerate faster than 29ers, they don’t have the same momentum-holding properties of the larger wheel size, which means that they can also decelerate
Thereare two options for mountain bike standard wheel size: 29 inches (or 29er) and 27.5 inches (also known as 650B). The diameter of these wheels is larger than the previous standard 26 inches. And the width is also wider than typical road bike wheels, ranging from 2.1’’ (53mm) to 3’’ (76mm). In recent years, 29-inch wheels are
onehandling trait that will change if fitting 27.5 wheels to a 29" bike is the reduced trail you'll get from the smaller front wheel and longer (than a 27.5) fork offset. this means your steering will quicken slightly and the bike will be slighty less stable in a straight line. in reality the 19mm lower BB will actually gain you heaps MORE
Samestill applies though. 27.5+ bikes will take 29ers. Normal 27.5 will not convert to 29 without some kind of consequence to your bikes geo. I would recommend just demoing a 27.5 bike before dropping a few grand on one to see if you actually prefer the wheel size.
Toeliminate ugly looking bikes we need this: size S frames on 26" wheels, size M on 27.5, and size L and above on 29". With mullet option obvs. Why stop at messing about with chain stay lengths?
TheEnduro S wheels are available in both 27.5" and 29" wheel sizes as well as non-boost, boost, and super-boost axle spacing. They also come with a 2-year warranty. Balanced is probably the best . 669 815 224 632 647 336 510 850
