Basically you can't use your upgraded force powers, because that requires you to hold down buttons for a time, and once you get a bit into the game, there's simply no time to do anything else than parry and block, and just hope that you can do a few follow-up hits after a perfect parry, not to mention that a lot of enemies spam unblockable moves.
After playing Sekiro I officially have Parry-PTSD. I'm a dodger damnit! But Sekiro, Surge 2 and Fallen Order (the dodge is awful, double tap and most enemies track like they have aim assist) all seem to funnel you into parries or bust. I just wanna roll away sometimes T_T Tl;dr: Me too and stuff.
