Printer manufacturers such as Elegoo ship their printers with masks and advice users to wear them when handling resin or unwashed prints. In what way does the mask protect you? For example, do the masks provide protection from inhaling toxic fumes, or are they primarily to prevent resin entering the mouth or nose? In today's episode of Trash Dragon Hobbies, I show you how I made a a ventilation system for my resin 3d printer to get all of those nasty fumes out of the h I like the idea of having the heater inside the printing cover, but I didn't find any information online if the resin fumes inside the cover are flammable or not. Datasheets from several manufacturers (Formlabs, Monocure, FormFutura) include litte to no data, and most of the time only talk about the liquid resin itself, not the vapor/fumes.

3D printer resin is almost always toxic, and repeated exposure can lead to difficult body reactions. This is an insidious process, as small casual exposures don’t seem to do anything. However, they are slowly training your body to react, and eventually it will in full force. The idea is to keep away from resin as much as possible, and that
The resin is formally non toxic, but probably should be treated the same as if it was toxic, but you will be safer using it. If you’re interested in experimenting with full color mixes in your resin 3D printer, consider trying out the Carima CMYK resins. This is part two of a two part series, please read part one.
Short answer is no one here knows for sure. It's a new hobby with mostly anecdotal evidence indicating that (surprise) printing in an enclosed space is kinda bad. Maybe. Some resin manufacturers even claim the fumes aren't toxic. That said, don't huff them, do blow them out a window, etc. . 584 222 361 501 596 766 674 42
