Attach 1×4-in. cedar trim to the four exterior corners of the sauna. Be sure to use the #8 x 2 in. finish screws to attach the trim so it can be removed later when you disassemble the sauna for transportation. Add trim around the exterior of the door if desired. Family Handyman. Step 11.
When building a sauna, remember to line the walls with insulation. Choose an R-19 fiberglass insulation that will keep the room warm enough. The width should be 16 inches or 24 inches, depending on the stud spacing in your home. Then, line the walls and ceiling with a foil vapor barrier, and staple it to them.
