Soak it down and work the steering. If it doesn't solve the problem, it could still be the shaft/joint that is the problem but you may need a shop to confirm. If it does solve it, I still suggest a can of Fluid Film before winter. It has many uses and their web site is informative. 2011 A4 Avant.
mwiley. My 2008 audi q7, has an issue starting and if it starts also just dies randomly. It has the check engine light on, esp light blinking and abs solid light. It started out with just cold start misfires, I brought it to Audi and they said start with the valve cleaning treatment and if that doesn't work they would need to replace the injectors on #3 & 7. The valve cleaning solvent they used made no difference, I planned on doing a manual carbon cleaning and changing all 8 injectors myself.
Turning the key on to the accessory position will activate and prime the fuel pump. You should be able to hear it running (even more with the bottom of the back seat lifted out). If the issue turns out to be the fuel pump, get a new fuel filter to go with a new pump. U S P CLUB MEMBER #34.
