The 2021 Jaguar I-Pace has been recalled 4 times byNothing else, ever. Two friends have a 17 f pace S and a 20 F type 2.0t. No issues there, either. Maybe we're just lucky.. We drive ours pretty hard, and still average 22 mpg ( 90%+ city driving). Can hit 29 on the highway. We also have a 22 x5m50i, and a 22 mdx type s advance, and the F Pace is still the most fun to drive of the three. As of MY2022, the I-Pace has switched from LG Chem to Samsung cells, gotten improved infotainment, and a new charging curve. Kris Rifa made a video showing off a MY2022 10-80% charge time of 42.5min with an average rate of 91.5kW due to a surprisingly flat charge curve. However just looked up a Jaguar F type R MSRP $118,999. Then I saw a used 2022 porsche 911 Carrera with 907 miles going for $133,330. I understand that 15k is a lot of money but if I was in the market for another car I wouldn’t think twice about spending the money. I’d even go older or more miles to get the Porsche.
Jaguar’s reliability problems mostly come from them using terrible manufacturers, which would routinely pinch pennies on the build quality. The I-Pace and E-Pace use a Austrian company for manufacturing - Magna Steyr, known for manufacturing multiple models of BMWs, Mercedes, the current Supra, and even a model for Aston Martin.
